Jae-Mi was kind of surprised by her mother's greeting and couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"Hey, Mom," she said as she hugged him back. Jae-Mi released her and closed the door behind herself.
"I'm don't hungry, but thanks. I ate earlier with some of the people from the orchestra." She put her bag down on the couch and followed behind her mom to the kitchen. "I'm fine though. Just busy," she said, shrugging. More like keeping busy. It was obvious from the dark circles under her eyes that she hadn't had much sleep in quite some time.
"How have you been? I heard Noah moved in. How's that going?" Jae-Mi leaned back against the counter on her elbows. "Did he bring Spatula?" She hadn't seen him when she came in, but it was very possible that he was hiding some where. Noah had told her he was kind of shy and being moved to a new place could scare animals.
