Clara strode up to the center, carrying her briefcase, wearing the required labcoat and ID badge clipped to the front. She hated this particular aspect of her job. The mere purpose of it was unsettling, even more that she could easily end up as a resident and not part of the staff in the future.
It was better that she not dwell too much on that. Whether she agreed to what was going on or not, there were people inside that building in need of her assistance. Whenever the files of the residents of at the center were delivered to the office, more often than not, she'd end up with most of the cases.
She scanned her badge and keyed in the access PIN to get inside the staff door. She walked quickly to Teja's office door and knocked once. She at least knew that the woman appreciated punctuality.
