As much as Clara loved open air markets, it was very rare for her to have the time to actually shop at one. Typically she would go straight to the gym after work, but she had decided that it would be better in the long run for her to cut back.
The refrigerator in her apartment was getting bare, and she had promised Masakazu she'd replace the food she threw out just to annoy him. It seemed like no better time than any to grab a few bags and stop by the closest market.
It was busier than she expected it to be, typically the crowds seemed fill the market in the early mornings. Clara didn't mind the competition. She had gathered plenty of vegetables, and she was currently picking through fruits when she got pushed into the man next to her. She looked over when he apologized, mainly because it wasn't his fault, but she recognized him immediately. He wasn't someone she would forget.
"I'm off-the-clock, call me Clara," she smiled and snatched the pineapple he had reached for and held it out to him before an opportunistic shopper grabbed it. "It's been awhile, Noah."
