"I cannot say for certain, but it does seem that way. Two powers fighting for control is how I would best describe it." Beyond that, Katrina did not know. She knew what it wasn't, and that was Moloch or the Horsemen. It wasn't the Sisterhood or the Order of the Blood Moon. It was something else. Something she didn't recognize and that was dangerous. Not knowing information had caused a lot of damage and set backs in the fight for the world and humanity. But she was new here and she knew that there was no way for her to have all the information. "Whatever it is, I do not believe it as you have been led to believe."
Because he had seemed too calm for that. She didn't know what the Nemeton had done, how it had lashed out, but there was a sort of resignation he'd had to him before she mentioned what she had felt. That the fact she felt more than one singular power source was of news to him and of interest.
As for this apartment he spoke of, it was still something Katrina was finding it hard to wrap her mind around. To know if it would be safe or not. But so far, her read on Deaton was that he was truthful and that there was nothing of concern, that those who had been in the apartment had been safe. That was something. She was worried about adjusting, especially with no one there to help her, but she had to believe she would find a way to do so.
"It sounds that way..." Though it was complicated, and she knew that far too well. Jeremy had been turned by Moloch because of the suffering he had endured. Abraham.... his pride had been wounded and he had given into dark temptations. Would they have turned out that way otherwise? One could never know. "That would make sense, a latent power given that...charge.. you mentioned."
