[MADDIE]

How'd the event go? Hopefully the kids all enjoyed themselves.

[ANGUS]
So when you mentioned the possibility of going sailing were you serious about that?

I know the Neep and the playoffs are all terribly exciting, and I'm certainly excited to see who ends up taking both, but... well, I had a couple of complaints from our cleaners after the last Neep match. So please for Merlin's sake if you're going to get pissed sloshed indulge yourself at a match then please do so responsibly. Or at least bloody clean up after yourselves

As a heart attack, darlin. My boat's all fitted for the season and I've got my captain's hat shined and polished. Are you wanting to take to the open seas with me?

Of course you have a captain's hat... Well, it'd be a bit silly for me to ask about it only to say no, now wouldn't it?

Besides I'm not sure I want to try out rock climbing just yet.

Campbell men look dashing in hats, it's a widely-known fact.

Rather try your luck in the briny blue? Let me say that it would be an honour and a privilege to captain your maiden voyage, darlin. You dinnae get sea-sick, do you?

I'll wait to see you wearing the hat before agreeing with you.

Seems the slightly easier option. Nah, not at all. So any particular rules I ought to know?

If you find your curiosity just can't rest until you see it, I wouldna mind putting on a private hat fashion show for you some fine evening.

Rules aboard the good ship Aroha are few but crucial. 1) Follow the captain's orders, particularly regarding ducking when the boom swings round, 2) I'm the captain and all sailors will address me as such.

A private hat fashion show, hmm? Exactly like that, or is it more like making some tea?

1) Naturally. 2) Must I?

Weel, as you know very well, I'd never turn down a cuppa.

1) Smart lass. 2) I reckon you meant to say "Aye aye, Cap'n Campbell" there.

That is certainly a thing that I know.

1) Thank you. Besides I'm the one who's inexperienced with sailing so just makes sense to listen. 2) Hmm, except we're not on a boat yet.

Conversations about boats count as being on boats. You're new to all this, so I wouldna expect you to know that yet. As your first and finest captain, I take your nautical education very seriously, love.

Well, so long as you don't expect me to call you Captain in bed.

Only if we're smuirichin' on my boat, which for the record is behaviour this captain enthusiastically endorses, but only while said boat is securely at anchor.

This captain also knows many a hidden private beach within an easy day's sail which may be more comfortable for all sorts of scandalous carrying-on if the lady would prefer to be romanced on solid ground. As the beach was reached by boat, Rule #2 would therefore still apply.

I think I need to work on my Scottish a little more, but I think I get the gist of it...

Well, we can see what happens on the day, hmm? And I might call you Captain.

I knew it would be a hit with the kids no matter what, but the feedback from the adult participants has been even more positive than expected. Thanks again for your help arranging the venue.

What kid doesn't love flying? I'm glad it went so well though. You're welcome! I was glad to help out even if it was only in arranging the use of Rannoch.
