In this week's Hogsmeade poll on the Scottish referendum, there was a definite shift back toward the Nays at 36-34-30 Ayes-Nays-Undecided. Due to the small sample size, Prophet Arithmancer Ian Fraser reminds readers that there is a 4% margin of error and that the fluctuations from week to week are within that margin. The overall trendlines since the first Scottish poll was taken in September have indicated increasing support for the referendum and a Scottish sub-Ministry. However, this is the third week in a row that the Ayes have lost support and the second that there has been a gain for the Nays.
With the end of the holiday season, the campaign is expected to hot up and both sides are expected to appeal to the voting populace in Scotland more directly than in preceding weeks.
