In this week's Hogsmeade poll on the Scottish referendum, there was a definite shift back toward the undecided at 37-33-30 Ayes-Nays-Undecided. Due to the small sample size, Prophet Arithmancer Ian Fraser reminds readers that there is a 4% margin of error and that the fluctuations from week to week are within that margin. The overall trendlines since the first Scottish poll was taken in September have indicated increasing support for the referendum and a Scottish sub-Ministry. However, this is the second week in a row that the Ayes have lost support and now undecided voters seem to be breaking slightly for the Nays.
It is suggested that Minister Shacklebolt's speech last week may present a turning point in the campaign. The Minister is widely respected for his war work and it will be difficult for the Ayes to bring a public figure of equal respect to bear.
