Who: Violet and Elliot When: February 5, 2010 (backdated like ~whoa) Where: Mama's Rating: PG-13 for sexy time...only not really.
Warnings: None? Summary: Violet and Elliot have their first date. D'awwww.
After wrapping up her discussion with Brian, the owner of Mama's, Violet spent the remainder of her wait doodling an intricate flower on a napkin. From her seat, she had a perfect view of the front door and each time she heard it open over the noise of the other patrons, her head raised hopefully. Finally, after a seven minute wait, she spotted a tall, handsome guy with curly hair walk into Mama's
"Elliot!" Violet called out, raising her hand. Despite her own curls, Violet held a soft spot for hot men with thick, curly hair. Just the thought of sinking her hands into it tended to put her in a pleasant mood. Not that she was only about looks, although they certainly helped. In all honesty, Violet was really hoping just to break her dry spell. Her last date had been two months ago and it was beyond time for her to have a little happiness.
Besides wearing a turquoise, fitted top (with a cute little zebra print, high-waisted belt) with dark jeans and several colorful beaded necklaces instead of her usual patchwork quilt skirts and clashing shirts, Violet gave no other indication that she was meeting a guy for the first time on a date. She wasn't nervous in the least and there weren't any signs of butterflies in her stomach. Violet was too que sera sera to be nervous about meeting a boy, especially with how much she talked.
Violet couldn't remember the last time she had felt anxious or awkward around someone new, as for the most part, people were made about the same. Some were happy, while others were grumpy, but everyone was made out of the same stuff. Why not treat everyone the same, as if they're a new best friend, instead of wasting valuable time worrying about what they think or if they're being judgmental?
