Location: MTAC
What: Teleconference
Who: Director Shepard and Lt. Silva’s CO
When: Day 1 (Case 1)

Jenny sat in MTAC, waiting for Lieutenant Silva’s CO to come online. Her second cup of coffee for the day waited at her elbow, and she opted to let it sit. She figured that today was going to be a marathon and not a sprint; she was going to need to stay clear and focused, not buzzed or suffering from a caffeine crash. Watching the play of colors across the main screen, she formulated what, exactly, she was going to say.

To her left one of the techs spoke up, “Ma’am, I’ve got your teleconference standing by.”

As she pulled the headset on, she paused to take a sip of coffee. Feeling slightly rejuvenated, she told him, “Put them on.”

The image came up, and she began without preamble, “This is Director Shepard, NCIS. With whom am I speaking?”

Who: Jenny Shepard (and anyone who needs to make an appearance to brief her)
When: Day One (Case One)
Where: The Director's office
What: Phone call from Lt. Silva's father

My office line buzzes for the third time in under an hour.

"Yes, Cynthia?" I reply, tersely.

"I'm sorry ma'am, it's Dr. Silva again." I roll my eyes. This man is getting old very quickly.

"Put him through," I say, taking my glasses off and tossing them onto my desk, "Yes, Dr. Silva?" I answer, putting the phone to my ear.

"Have you questioned any of her coworkers, or her commanding officer yet?" he asks with no attempt at civilities.

"For the third time in the last hour, Doctor, when my people find something, I will let you know." On the other end of the line, I hear him switch the phone to his other ear.

"Look, Director Shepard, I am a man of means... I will not be stonewalled by some bureaucratic ice queen..." That's it, this man has pushed me too far, pissing me off.

"Sir, I don't know how you run things down at the country club, but here at NCIS we don't 'stonewall' anyone. Once our team has thouroughly assessed and processed the crime scene, we will contact you with more information. Until then..." Suddenly, I'm speaking to a dial tone. Hanging up the phone, I can't help the small, yet smug, smile that crosses my face. I glance at my watch and grab a legal pad before heading out the door. Pausing in the outer office I turn to my assistant.

"Will you please let the Secretary of the Navy know that I will be in MTAC for the rest of the morning talking to Lieutenant Silva's commanding officer," Cynthia reaches for the phone, "When he calls me, Cynthia... not before."

Who: Abby and anyone who needs to give her evidence!
When: During the day of Case 1
Where: Her Lab
Why: Evidence, of course! (Come here after you've collected the evidence in the first post for case 1).

Abby sat waiting for evidence. She knew they'd be arriving with it soon. She was grateful, not that someone was dead, but they'd been surprisingly slow as of late. She had been bored out of her mind.

Android Lust was blaring on her stereo and she spun on her stool. She was making herself sick, but she didn't care.

She heard someone come in behind her and she stopped, but didn't turn around. "Caf-pow?"

The dead body of Lieutenant April Silva was found at 6:30 a.m. at her parents' home in Virginia by her parents, Dr. Bernard Silva and Shirley Silva.

There were a few obvious things about the crime scene and April, that could be spotted at first glance:
1. Broken lamp on the floor
2. Body on couch. It is naked and covered in blood. There seems to be many cuts on the body. She is a redhead in her mid-20s.
3. No sign of forced entry.

The whole team is called in to investigate the next morning. The house they arrive at is a very large white Victorian, in a very nice neighborhood full of doctors and lawyers. It's definitely white collar.

(Go for it team! Get in there and start collecting the evidence I sent you. If you have any questions or need anything, let me know in a private message or hit me up in an email or on aim!)

Who: Abby Sciuto and Open to All
When: Monday Afternoon, Noon
Where: NCIS Cafeteria
What: Eating and chatter
Rating: PG

Abby hopped into line. For once the place was slow. She hadn't had any evidence today, so she came to get some lunch. Not that she wasn't going out of her mind from boredom, but maybe this would ease it.

She picked up an Apple, some Caf-pow, tomato soup, and grilled cheese, then put it on her tray to pay. She looked around and the cafeteria was a buzz. It was exactly normal lunch time after all. She could only find one table that was empty and it was right next to the door. Abby groaned and made her way over there. Within seconds, she had her Ipod out and the earbuds in her ears, jamming to Android Lust. She danced in her seat and picked up her Apple. A few people around her stared. They must be visiting, she thought to herself.
