Shrugging slightly, Dev noticed the look that had crossed Laine's face, which made her think she had been off base about something. "I haven't actually danced with Kris yet," she admitted. "Our styles don't really blend," at least that was the only reason Dev could come up with for why she hadn't partnered with Kris at all. "Years of dancing together would do that," she had had that back in Duluth, a couple male dancers she had partnered with enough that they just knew each other and how the other person danced. But she hadn't managed to get that just yet here in Texas, but she had only been in Texas for a short while, so she had to figure that was why.
"Then you can expect me to be there, and I'll be honest and critical," she really did understand the desire for another set of eyes, each dancer liked to have someone watch and figure out what might work better. "I meant in a performance, and not one that happened in his bedroom," it wasn't often that Dev actually made comments like that, but this was Laine and she felt more comfortable with her. "So are any of us in the company ever going to meet him?" She asked with a faint smile. "Right now we just know him as the mysterious blonde police officer you're dating," she pointed out, though she was trying not to push for information, she was realizing though that she might be failing at that.
