Shaking her head, Dev just sighed softly and tried to hide the faint smile. She knew Laine was right in that if she didn't let it bother her a little bit she wouldn't go red, but she just wasn't raised that way. "Or y'know I wouldn't go red at all if certain friends of mine didn't take joy in poking at me," she countered, though her tone gave it away that she wasn't upset, not really. "Well yeah, doesn't mean I know how to handle that," she really didn't know how to handle men asking for her number, when she was dating Micah men would ask and he would be the one to run them off, not that Dev wanted to run them off, she just didn't know how to handle them. "I might," she gave a little shrug as she said this, not certain she would figure it out, but knowing Laine meant well. "I'm not looking for advice though, so don't worry about it."
"That's where you and I differ, I can handle pouting better than I can handle bitching," because pouting was easier to ignore, or at least that's what she thought. "Though I just generally try to ignore Marie all around, she's been nothing but unpleasant to me the entire time I've been dancing with the company," though it probably didn't help that she was a young up and comer that was suddenly getting a lot of attention when she came, but Dev had tried to be friendly with everyone despite all of that.
