It wasn't entirely an excuse, Dev's entire life had been about dance and aspiring to dance with a company. When you gave yourself such lofty goals, you also gave up large portions of your life to those goals. "It's not an excuse," she sighed softly, knowing that Laine someone managed to balance dance life and social life, but she just wasn't that great and trying to do both, not unless she had a group of friends willing to make plans and then drag her out with them. "I promise I won't," she replied, knowing that she often times gave Laine hell when it came to going out. "I know it does," she could admit she was not the easiest person to get to go out with, but sometimes she just couldn't help it.
"Oh my god, really Laine, did that need to be said?" Devri covered her face with her hands as she felt her cheeks go red and she tried to keep that mental image out of her mind, she did not need to think about August in that manner, at least not anymore than she already did. "He has the non-commitment type, I think that's his type," and she wasn't that, which was exactly why she never let anything between her and August go beyond the occasional weird case of flirting, though those cases were usually unintentional. Sighing softly, she couldn't argue that Laine was right, that meeting someone took effort, but the last time she had actually met someone she had been in middle school. "It's just a little intimidating is all," she finally admitted, feeling extremely stupid about it.
