Sighing softly, Dev knew she couldn't argue Laine's point. If she really wanted the time she could make the time. "Because I've been a career focused home body my entirely life," she replied honestly. Her insane focus on her dance career has gotten her where she was today, but she did realize some of the things she gave up because of that. "I always enjoy your company, so you really don't have to beg," she pointed out with a small smile. "No you never have taken me anywhere I didn't enjoy, that's true," she could admit that fact as Laine really never did take her anywhere she didn't enjoy.
Dev knew her cheeks were going red and she couldn't help but duck her head a little bit. "He's not anyway around around me, he's just August," she tried to counter. "I mean why would he look at me?" She was aware of some of the women August ended up going out with, and she didn't compare to any of them, at least not in her mind. "I skirt giving out my number because some guys don't like when dance comes before them," she pointed out with a sigh. "You know this lifestyle as well as I do, and sometimes practices run late and dancing takes priority, not everyone can put up with that," her ex had put up with it, but he hadn't known any differently either, they had begun dating when they were so young that it had always been a constant in their life and she'd been his first girlfriend. "They are, but kind of terrible in an endearing way."
