Quirking an eyebrow, Dev gave Laine a look at the amused noise. It wasn't surprising, though she knew her friend would likely side with her roommates on the whole 'shut-in' opinion. "It's not like I've got a lot of time on my hands," she answered, though her argument was weak, Laine had just as much on her plate and she managed to go out and have fun and had even found herself a boyfriend. "Being busy is not an excuse," she remarked weakly, sighing just slightly. "I know I'm a shut in, but my circle of friends is not very large," which was the truth, Devri didn't have a huge amount of friends in Texas, which was likely her fault. "Because you're always the person that manages to get me to go out," which was half the truth, August would take her out from time to time, but Laine was usually more successful at it.
Devri laughed. "He has done it, though not as often, I think he's afraid of meeting someone and ending up ditching me for the night," at least that's what she thought was the reasons, she wasn't about to go asking him about that though. "My dating life is a wasteland," she wasn't afraid to admit that, and she knew most of that was on her. "Can't really stop him from spending time with his best friend, plus the two of them aren't so bad," thought maybe Dev just put up with a lot more than most people would.
