[Filtered away from those loyal to Helen -]
[- and those who believe in her cause. In Ilium or otherwise.]
[ When Horus pens down his filter, he's not sure whom he's going to reach. But here he is, alive and free, while so many will speak no more, and he knows that living and freedom come with a responsibility.
A responsibility to carry on the mantle. He's no fucking poet, but if Tristan for one second thought his words had any artistry to them, then by God is he going to try. ]
The violence was not planned. But you're a damn fool if you didn't think it was going to happen eventually.
A fractured kingdom is a weak one. One way or another, it would've come down to this. I'm not saying violence is the right course of action - hell no. But neither is standing idly by.
Is this the world you want to see? It very fucking well wasn't the Ilium I wanted. For the voices of the weak to be heard, a city had to be bathed in blood. Many fell without seeing the dawn. Is it coming? Fuck if I know.
But I'm not forgetting those who've fallen in the night. Are you?
