[Horus is never remiss in his duties as a son. His mothers - both Isis and the woman who'd borne him in this life - receive fruit baskets and cards. Flowers, however, he reserves for his wife.
Thinking on his parents' situation, he can't put to words how lucky he is that his lover is his wife. His magnificent, perfect wife; the mother of his children. Had Estelle been another mortal and Hathor another woman... He would not have known what to do.
(A lie among the many lies we delight in telling ourselves. He would've gone to Hathor, without question or pause. Some pulls are greater than fate itself, though Horus would never say so in such sentimental terms.)
But speculation is useless. He has his wife and his son. The world is his, and there is no greater cause for celebration.]
