Stefan was clearly having some issues with his brother being there. It hadn't be easy for him to be around Damon....not since they had turned. The two of them were brothers, but most people wouldn't know with the way that they acted around one another. Stefan didn't hate him....not anymore, but he certainly wished that Damon would just let the past go and let both of them move on with their lives. How could he still blame him? Did he really want to spend the rest of their eternity following him around and making his life hell? He just couldn't understand that level of boredom. If there was one thing Stefan had learned it was to live in the moment. Sure being a vampire wasn't easy, but there was a lot in this life to see and do and if you spent your time holding grudges you would miss it.

Today was going to be one of those days where he made sure that he saw those amazing things. He had asked Elena to accompany him on a walk to the Falls. Sure there were other places in town to go, but this one seemed the most likely to allow them some time to talk. Damon wasn't as likely to be there. He would be somewhere he could get a drink....or a co-ed, because that is what he did.

They had agreed to meet at the bottom of the trail, so that is where he stood waiting on her to arrive.

"Well, what do you want to know?" She questioned, looking over at him. "I mean...I'm not that interesting, really. I...am on the cheerleading squad? But probably not for much longer. I live with my brother and my aunt, I hate brussels sprouts, I can't cook, and....I've been keeping a journal since I was ten. My mother gave it to me." Her gaze lowered then.

"...she always encouraged me....we always talked about how I would be a writer when I grew up."

	"I think I'm a normal teenager," Elena answered with a shrug. "Or...not normal." Her head ducked a minute. She couldn't consider herself normal with everything her family had gone through over the past year. "I guess I'm just a little...lost right now. Not sure where I fit in anymore."
