The Hunt Begins
Who: Gideon, Jeremy, Casey, Hope
When: Sometime after 3
Where: Phone
What: Gideon sends out the search party.
Gideon was trying to do the books when the phone rang. Thankful for the break, he grabbed it. "Gideon's House of Love. Name your pleasure." "Irene didn't show up." Gideon leaned forward, everything else forgotten. It wasn't like Irene not to show up somewhere she said she was going to be. "You checked the roads?" Of course Jeremy would have but Gideon had to ask anyway. "Yes and I sent someone to check on her and she's not home. When was the last time you seen her," Jeremy asked. "This morning. She went home to get ready to meet you later." Gideon was starting to fear the worse. What if someone, or rather something, had grabbed her to get to him. Fear gripped his heart. What if she hadn't been grabbed on her way to the cabins? What if she had been nabbed after she had left the bar? She might not even be...no, Gideon wasn't going to think about that. "I need the pack." "I know her scent, so does Harper. I'll send someone over to get something with her scent so the rest will be able to spread out and try and track her down," Jeremy said before hanging up. They may be too late already, there was no need to waste even more on niceties. As soon as Jeremy hung up, Gideon was dialing Casey's number. "Irene's missing," he said as soon as Casey picked up. He could hear Casey curse on the other end of the line. "The pack is headed out but..." "I'll grab Sophia and we'll start looking. Where was she last?" "Here, that I can say for sure. Maybe leaving home to head for the cabins. She was supposed to help Jeremy with that new wolf." Gideon was getting restless. He needed to get out there and start looking. Who ever had her was going to pay. "It's the middle of the afternoon so demon?" "Demon," Gideon confirmed. It had to be. "Right. Keep your cell phone on you in case we find her," Casey said before hanging up. As soon as he was off the phone, Gideon ran upstairs. From underneath the bed he pulled out a long case. He hadn't been joking last night when he said he had his father's swords. The angel of wrath had given it to his son after he had decided to fall. It might not flame in Gideon's hand but it would cut through flesh just fine. As he headed out the door with sword and cellphone, he decided to call Kate and Hope. Kate could start working on pen pointing any evil in the area and Hope could help him cover more ground since she'd be able to sense any demons. He's slaughter every demon they came across until he found the right one. |
