Lavender peered into the oven to check on the lasagna and grinned, pleased that it was bubbling just like it was supposed to. She rose and turned to walk to the refrigerator, pulling out a bag of fresh romaine lettuce to make a ceasar salad. After the lasagna was finished she would bake up some fresh garlic bread and dinner would be complete. She didn't really bake much, so in the refrigerator was a sinfully chocolate dessert that she'd picked up at the bakery on the way home.

Glancing at the clock, she cursed then dashed down the hall to change - Kevin would be there any minute and she wanted to look nice for dinner. In the back of her mind, Lavender thought that Kevin probably wouldn't care if she was wearing sweats, but that wasn't the point. She pulled on a pair of dark blue jeans then yanked a black silky cami over her head - it was cute and flirty, a little revealing but nothing too inappropriate. She slid her feet into a pair of black flip-flops then headed back to the kitchen. Flirty and casual, perfect for a night in, she decided, as she ran her fingers through her hair that hung around her shoulders.

When she heard the knock on her door, Lavender was already beaming.

She wanted to cry. "You're too good to me," she said softly. Lavender turned in his arms, resting her hands on his chest as she looked up at him.

"My life is very... backwards," she told him, seeing as it was their little word. "I've never resisted the urges I feel during the full moon. I just... you're so honest with me and I want to be honest and open with you. I don't want you to think I'm something I'm not..."

	"I'm very happy when I'm with you, too," she said sincerely. They'd only really known each other for a couple of weeks, but even now Lavender knew she didn't want to be away from him. 	Kevin pressed another kiss to her cheek and then one to her lips, lingering there. It was a tested statistic that men were usually the first to call it love, and Kevin was saying so in his mind right now, but he kept his lips sealed, afraid he'd scare her away. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Lavender wasn't about to blurt out the word 'love' for the same fears he had, but there it was. Her heart was pounding in her chest and she wrapped her arms around him, surrendering to his kisses and his embrace. The setting sun was forgotten as they got lost in each other on her balcony. 	Lavender moved her fingers through his hair, holding him close as their kisses lingered and deepened. Her knees felt week and he left her breathless and she loved every moment of it. The sun had barely set and they were like animals unable to keep their wandering hands off one another. They couldn't hear much either as down below, one of the young boys that had been playing in the garden was hollering and pointing. "Oi! He's trying to eat her face!"

Lavender registered that and pulled back a fraction of an inch, grinning a little. "We have a small audience," she whispered breathlessly.

	She laughed a little, glancing down at the children who were singing something about kissing in a tree. Lavender took his hand and led him back inside, closing the door and the drapes behind her.
