Who: Astoria and Kaira
When: Late night Monday, after work
Where: Outside, out front
What: Headed home

Normally Astoria would apparate straight from her office to her apartment. But tonight she needed some fresh air. She headed out of the visitor's entrance, but paused as soon as she hit the street to dig through her bag. A part of her was digging for her keys, but the other part was debating whether or not she wanted a cigarette. She wasn't expecting to bump into someone familiar out there.

	"Fine, just absent-minded," Kaira gave a small smile, recognizing the girl now that she could see her. "Hi I'm Kaira, I don't think we've met before," she said it slowly, not entirely sure that they actually had and Kaira had just stupidly forgotten. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Same to you," Kaira gave a tired smile, pushing her brown hair off of her face. "Are you heading home?" she gestured into the darkness, "because not to be too forward or anything," Kaira laughed, she was always forward, "but I could use a coffee or a drink. Want to join me?" 	"Mmmm how about that pub on the corner," Kaira nodded down the street where the lights from a well visited bar flashed in the darkness. It was a popular spot for St.Mungo's staff. "So how was your night?" she questioned with a smile beginning the walk. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"That sounds good." Astoria started walking alongside Kaira. She gave a little shrug. "Normal. A lot of work, though. I've been going through all the paperwork over the last month, and tying up all the loose ends." It was a lot of work. "How was yours?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Kaira wasn't sure exactly what it was Astoria did so she merely nodded along. "Where do you work in the hospital," she gave an apologetic smile, "sorry I don't really see a lot of anyone who isn't on the first floor with my job."

At the question about her own day, Kaira's smile dimmed slightly and she licked her lips. "Well work was hectic, but then it always is. And then--" she wondered if she should say anything, "I had an interesting dinner with a guy I thought I was just trying to be friends with. But I'm pretty sure that won't ever happen again," she said it dryly, but their was animosity in her tone.

Kaira gave the girl a smile, she liked her. Kaira was always interested in making new friends, especially when it seemed there were more males around than females.

"Well," Kaira started, not sure if she even wanted to delve into what had happened. She wasn't quite sure herself. "It just got ugly towards the end," she gave a disarming smile, "nothing to think about anymore."

	Astoria was incredibly curious. She loved hearing gossip around the hospital. And this definitely sounded like gossip. "Oh, well, let me know if you want to talk about it." She responded as they reached the club. (Reply to this) (Parent)
