Who: Hermione and Harry
When: Today, lunchtime
Where: Harry and Ginny's flat, then elsewhere?
What: Lunch date between buddies

Hermione figured that Harry needed some time alone with Ginny. Afterall, they were newlyweds. They were back from their honeymoon, but Hermione still gave them some space. If it was her, she'd appreciate the distance. She figured they'd come to her when they were ready. And she was thrilled when Harry contacted her yesterday.

She got up early and logged some hours at the office, then clocked out to go to lunch with Harry. After apparating a block away and walking to the Potters' house, Hermione knocked on the front door.

	Hermione broke into a grin at the sight of Harry. He looked so much happier now that he was married. It was definitely agreeing with him. She gave a gentle "thanks" then let herself through the door and closed it. "How are things?" She hadn't seen him face to face since the wedding. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I figured she'd be dying to get back to work." Hermione could imagine loving Ginny's job. If you liked playing Quidditch, that is. 	"He is, though." Hermione said, going red in the face. She was wearing a sheepish grin. "What? He definitely is. He's a mystery. I just don't understand. He wants something, he tip-toes around it. "Well that's an easy answer, Hermione." Harry laced his trainers and stood up. "He's scared."

He looked her right in the eye. "All those times you felt scared at school, you always ran to the library. Big test? Run to the library. Do you think Ron wanted to pass his exams any less? He just handled it differently."

He sighed. Harry knew Ron and Hermione pretty well by now. He was sure they knew him better than he knew himself too. "You can't consider an attempt a failure if you don't really try, see?"

Hermione still didn't really understand. If he wanted to pass an exam, the only thing to do was to run to the library and study. It was logical. She didn't really understand things that weren't logical.

"I suppose." She could understand the last bit, though. If you didn't try, you couldn't fail. It meant he wouldn't be rejected, either.

"But you miss out on so many opportunities." Hermione insisted, unfolding her arms from across her chest.

	Hermione was ready to let it go. She wanted to ask Harry about how married life was, how things in the Auror office were, and how he was feeling about live in general. 	Harry vanished with a good audible crack and appeared next to Hermione in the St. Mungo's lobby. If anyone had been startled by Hermione's appearance, they were really shocked by Harry. He always made such a loud crack. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hermione started walking as soon as Harry appeared next to her. She knew he'd follow. She left through the front entrance of St. Mungo's, and started down the street. There weren't many muggles on the street.

It was a pretty short walk, just two blocks down and one block over from the hospital. A little deli with a wide selection of meats, cheeses, spreads, and freshly baked bread.
