Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Leanne and Cho
When: Forward dated to Friday Night
Where: Cho's Flat
What: Dinner

Standing in her kitchen, Cho put the finishing touches on the giant pan of stir fry she was cooking. It was one of the few things she could cook truly well and Cho always made it for guests. A bowl of rice sat on the table along with some rice wine she only put out for special nights. Not that having Leanne over was anything unusual, but Cho felt like making it a nice evening for them both.

And besides, it distracted her from the utter and complete failure that was her love life. Cho sighed loudly and sent two plates to the table when she heard a knock on the door. Waving her wand towards the living room, she heard it swing open.

"It's almost ready, come on it."

"I'm still seeing him," she said and put the rest of the food and glasses on the table before joining Leanne at the table. "We just had a huge fight and I have a feeling it's going to end just like every other relationship I've ever had."

It was hardly a secret that Cho was rubbish with men. She always fell for the wrong me and ended up getting incredibly hurt.

Leanne would have offered to help, but she didn't know where things were. She figured the best thing she could do for both of them would be to sit and show moral support.

"Oh, no." Leanne said, sadly. "What was the fight about? I'm sorry to hear it."

Dishing out the food, Cho knew her answer was stupid before she even got around to saying it. Hell, she had known she was being stupid during the entire argument. "Michael. Sort of. It's more than that, but that's where it started. I mentioned I had invited Michael along for the Ireland/England game to watch David play and he flipped. He said I shouldn't be spending my time with people I use to date and I told him it wasn't really any of his business and then we started screaming about everything and somehow I ended up walking out."

"Ohhh." Leanne paused. She knew there was history between Cho and Michael. She just sort of figured she was going to hear a lot about Michael in her friendship with Cho. It didn't bother her, though.

"Oh, Cho." She said, sighing softly and shaking her head. "You should have just invited me along to the Quidditch match." She wore a little smirk.

"I only wanted to spend time with Michael. I didn't do it to make anyone jealous, despite what David seems to think. And then I started to cry and I have never seen someone who wanted to run as much as he did." Cho hated getting overly emotional and she had been doing so well.

"On top of it, I don't think Michael is thrilled with me dating someone either."

Leanne nodded. She hadn't seen Cho cry in a while. It wasn't pretty while they were in school, either.

"Oh? He's not?" She asked, curiously. "Does he want you back?"

Cho shrugged her shoulders and dug into her food. For such a small girl, she could put away a decent amount of food when she was upset. "I doubt it." Cho knew she really shouldn't think about whether Michael was interested or not, but she couldn't help herself. "I'm really not that lucky. I mean. Ugh."

Leanne started in on her food, but nearly snorted up some rice. "Not that lucky?" She asked, a little surprised Cho had said something along those lines.

After realising what she said, Cho winced and covered her face with her hands. "I didn't mean that! I just meant I doubt he'd want to see me like that again."

Dammit. She really needed to watch what she said.

"Uh huh." Leanne said, though she wasn't sure she believed her.

She took another bite.

"I'm an idiot, aren't I?" Cho groaned and rubbed her temple. "Why can't I just be happy with what I have? Ugh."

Cho put her fork down and sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm ruining dinner."

"No, don't be sorry. It's all right." Leanne said, giving a little smile. "I wish I had the boy problems you have. I have no relationship problems." She said, swiping her hand in the air.

"Nothing."
