Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Marcus and Tim
When: Backdated to Sunday late night/Monday early morning
Where: Tim's place
What: Commiserating. Moping. Drunk times.

Drinks were the game and getting wasted was the goal. Marcus apparated onto Tim's doorstep with all his life's possessions a two hours ago after his fight with Lisa. He was angry and miserable. The only person in his life now that he could trust was Tim. Oh Merlin, did he love Tim. Such a good guy. He should have lived with him in the first place, instead of that traitor Lisa.

"I love you, ya three legged bastard," Marcus slurred, sending a sloppy gaze at his mate. He was on his eighth round. "I fucking hate girls. Those bitches," he large swig from his bottle, some of the lager running down his chin.

"She's married to him." Tim said, frowning. He was still thinking about Audrey. "He's a wanker, though. Not any better than you or me, that's for sure."

He pulled himself up to a sitting position, then up to his feet to cross the room to the kitchen, and dig through the fridge for something to eat. Some bread would soak up some of this alcohol.

Tim grabbed a nearby cup and filled that up with water, hoping to lessen tomorrow's hangover.

"Yeah. He and Roger are of the same stock. What do those guys have better than us anyway? A couple more galleons is all."

Tim found a loaf of bread in the fridge and pulled it out to rip chunks off for both of them.

"Chyeah." He said, scowling. "If that." His opinion of the two of them was rather low.

Marcus grabbed a piece of the bread, ripping off a hunk of it with his teeth.

"I mean, who cares if you cook for a living. Or have an extra tail. Or something," Marcus was rambling nonsense. "Just cuz I don't wear a suit everyday doesn't mean I shouldn't have a right to my inheritance. And even then, who the fuck says I want an inheritance. I don't want that dirty money." He blurted. It was something he was avoiding talking about since he came back.

Tim leaned against the counter, chewing on his bread. He raised an eyebrow at the tail comment, then paused at the ramble about the inheritance.

"I take it this isn't about Lisa anymore." Tim said, softly.

Marcus looked at him. "It's not even a lot of money. But my dad says I'm not getting a single knut unless I get a proper job. Or at least none where I'm cooking all day." He sighed. "Never approved of me. Not even after he died."

Tim nodded. He'd heard a lot about Marcus' father, even met him a few times. His opinion of Marcus' father was only slightly better than his opinion or Lisa or Percy.

"What are you gonna do?" He asked, then bit into his bread again. He both felt too drunk and not drunk enough at the same time.

"I dunno," Marcus sighed. "I don't want to get a new job. I love what I do. Plus, I get to be with Lisa...fuck him! I hate Roger."

Marcus was drunk, spewing the first thing that came out of his mind. He felt like crying. Oh god, was he inebriated.
