Lavender couldn't really leave the flat anymore - she couldn't go far without being immediately uncomfortable, and Kevin was nervous that she was going to pop any moment. So, she'd invited Adrian over for tea on Tuesday morning while Kevin worked in his in-home studio. After owling him directions to the flat, Lavender made her way into the kitchen to make up a tea tray, moving slower then ever as she felt like a whale with the baby ready to be born any day.

A little before noon, there was a knock at the door and Lavender smiled as she opened the door to see her newly discovered brother. "Hey... surprise," she grinned, looking down at her belly.

Adrian didn't quite know how to conduct himself. Was he supposed to be happy? Angry? Surprised? Filled with a new sense of responsibility? He figured happy was what he was supposed to feel, but really, he felt confused. Either way, he made it promptly to their meeting with a jar of pickles in hand with a red bow around it. He read somewhere that pregnant ladies liked pickles.

His eyes nearly popped out of his face when she came to the door. "Merlin, you're large." His eyes instantly went to her belly. She expanded almost threefold from the last time he saw her.

	Lavender bit her lip and nodded a little. "I... have a long story to tell you, so why don't you come on in." Lavender closed the door behind him, walking slowly behind him. "How have you been?" she asked, gesturing for him to sit on the couch. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Lavender eyed up the rather large jar of pickles. "Oh, well thank you," she smiled. She couldn't imagine why he'd brought them for her, but a pickle did sound good.

"Well... we're fine... getting close to the end," she said, lowering herself onto the couch where she could stretch a little. "It's pretty complicated but in the end, not so much... I was kidnapped a few weeks ago... in your reality anyway." Lavender sighed. "My kidnapper took me back in time just at the beginning of my pregnancy and when I caught up with this time... I was already nearly eight months pregnant.

	"Yeah," Adrian nodded, giving her a quirked smile. It was a lot to take on. All of a sudden, he gained a entirely new family. And surprisingly enough, he was rather...fond of them. 	Lavender smiled brightly, rubbing her hand over her belly. "Yeah, she's getting impatient though. I was at St. Mungo's earlier in the week. I thought I was in labor. And.. looking back, I wish I had been because this waiting game is horrible," she sighed, reaching to pour him some tea. "How have you been?" she asked conversationally. 	"Wow," he said to himself. An entire human inside of another one. It was fascinating. His mind was going crazy with the idea of it. He never worked on a cadaver that was pregnant before. "Oh, he's down the hall in his studio," Lavender told him. "He's spending the week working from home, after the false labor scare and all. But, he wanted to get some recording in before the baby is born," she said, sipping her tea. She would have offered to introduce them, but Lavender was selfish and wanted him to finish early so she could have the evening alone with him.

	She nodded, searching his eyes for recognition. "Well, he's in a band and... he doesn't want to fall too far behind now that he's going to be a daddy," she smirked. "Ah," Adrian nodded along. He was sure that if he heard one of their songs, he'd recognize it. But to know the band members by name, that was another thing. His eyes shifted around the room for a picture. Maybe seeing his face would set his recall power in motion...

"Hmm? Oh. I'm fine," he smiled. "And yes. Two older brothers. As well as a few other step siblings that my --- er. Our father sired."

	Oh, to think she had more siblings - a handful more by the sound of it. She knew that the sick feeling in the pit of her stomach was not the baby kicking at her gut. 	Lavender didn't take offense, in fact she beamed. She liked being adored. "Aww, aren't you sweet," she grinned. She was glad that, so far, they got along. She wasn't sure how her other brothers would take the news, when she chose to share it, so it was nice to have a brother who was on the inside of her secret. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
