Leanne felt especially lonely at this time of year. They were starting to play Christmas music all over, and she wasn't sure how much time she was going to get to spend with her family this year. Normally when she had to work extra long hours in the hospital over holidays, at least she had Katie there to spend time with. But their relationship had been strained--and rightly so. It would never be the same now that Katie knew Leanne had feelings for her. And Katie was straight. Leanne didn't know what she was going to do with herself this Christmas.

She went up to the tea room after dealing with a particularly nasty case, and flopped into one of the chairs. The room was mostly empty, for which she was thankful. She closed her eyes and let her head loll backward, her face pointing up at the ceiling.

	"To hell with family," Marcus muttered under his breath as he stared at the countertop. He looked up at her. "Makes you kind of miss Hogwarts, doesn't it?" He said with a small smile. 	Leanne caught the mutter, but didn't quite understand all the words. She assumed that he felt the same way she did, that he was going to be lonely this holiday season, too. "Yeah, actually. I miss the simpler times." She said, feeling a wave of nostalgia. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
