Lavender and Kevin had come to an agreement that she could go to the hospital to run through some paper work before the baby was born under a few conditions. He'd hired a bodyguard for her that Lavender was, under no circumstances, allowed to walk away from for any reason. She could agree to that - minus needing to use the loo, which she did... a lot these days. Secondly, she was only allowed to be at the hospital for one hour to do some paper work, give instructions to her team then come home. She agreed to all of that and he had to give her a foot massage and make sure there was something fabulous for dinner that night.

All agreements set, Lavender headed to the hospital, taking a Ministry car as she could no longer apparate or use the floo network in her condition. Walking was not easy anymore, nor was is very comfortable. At thirty-four weeks, due the first weekend in December, Lavender nearly waddled and was always tired. As she walked down the hall toward the gift shop, she earned stares and well wishes to which she smiled and thanked people. Once in her shop, she immediately sat down behind the desk, sending her assistants to gather up the ledgers for the month so she could work the books.

She was just about to get into it when someone approached the counter...

	"Yeah... well, just make sure that you don't let your potions lapse..." she grunted as she walked out, adjusting her robes. "Look what happens... you get fat, your feet swell up and you worry the kid might be named Superstar Megatron," she smirked, washing her hands. "Oh, and you waddle... that's fun!" 	Lavender was having fun. "Aww, I didn't mean to make you so flustered," she laughed, giving her a hug. "Please don't give up... I've listened to the way you talk about him and... don't give up. Go burn down his kitchen and I'm sure he won't care," she grinned. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"That sounds like a brilliant idea. Try to think of something he might like to do - involving food in some way, of course. Something simple... like dinner at a muggle diner and then a movie. I don't think he could burn down a movie theater," Lavender laughed. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"It would be perfect," she smiled. "And it's simple so there's little room for errors like burning things down. Plus," Lavender added, "you can cuddle in the movie theater," she grinned. There was a polite knock at the door and Lavender sighed, knowing her time away from the Giant was over. "Play time is over," she rolled her eyes. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"It's more like he's making sure that I'm alive in here," she sighed, walking beside Hermione as they left the ladies' room. Sam followed behind at a discreet distance. 	"I'm taking a couple of months off, but I'll come by to visit," she smiled. "I can't imagine being in the house for so long with a crying baby," she grimaced. Yeah, Lavender definitely wasn't ready for the baby - it was going to take over her life for sure. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"You'd better." Hermione responded, grinning softly. "Well, invite me over and I'll hold her for a bit so you can relax." Hermione had no idea what it was going to be like to have a baby, but she imagined it must feel isolating. She turned to hug Lavender. "Take care, okay? I have to start my shift."
