Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Tim and Kevin
When: At the end of his shift, Wednesday
Where: Tea Room
What: Relaxing after work

Tim was up in the tea room, with a tea on the table in front of him and a rather vacant expression. He'd just finished a twelve hour shift, and was more than ready to go home and collapse. But that required effort. He needed the tea with caffeine and sugar in it to give him enough energy to go home.

Though, honestly, he was probably going to get his second wind after the tea and want to do something besides go home and crash.

He glanced up as the teenage waitress (the one who was ill-tempered with almost everyone except him) came over to slip him a free cookie, and broke into a grin. It definitely helped to flirt a bit with the staff.

"Oh... well, I rescued her from a muggle bloke with a gun, I suppose. That's really how we met. You know, because we never really talked at Hogwarts." A muggle mugger, say that five times fast.

Tim raised both eyebrows, rather surprised. "You rescued her from a muggle bloke with a gun??"

"Yeah, you know, the whole 'I want your money, not your life' scenario. Really bad part of London to walk through at night, but Wizards get a false sense of security these days." Kevin nodded. Not Lavender's brightest moment, but he knew that the moon had made her feel alive, invincible. That was why he'd been there too.

"Wow. That's amazing." Tim said, giving a nod. "So you really were her knight in shining armor."

"I guess so." Or knight in tight jeans. Whichever.

"So you don't have a girlfriend?" Tim sounded like he wanted one, and he was charming enough to have one. Hell, he was more charismatic than Kevin, by leaps and bounds.

"No, no." Tim shook his head, setting his teacup down after a sip. "I'm a lone wolf." He grinned, having no idea that he'd said something that might have a second meaning to Kevin.

Kevin laughed a little harder than he probably should have. Finally the girl came back with his food. He took a bite of his muffin. At least Marcus still did his job right when Lisa wasn't here.

Tim gave a nod to the waitress, who refilled his teacup with a flirtatious smile. As she walked away, her hips moved a little more than was absolutely necessary.

Tim chuckled softly, and shook his head. "It may happen eventually." He commented idly. "For me. But maybe not." He started thinking about Audrey, and his eyes glazed over.

Kevin noted that look but didn't say anything. He wasn't a really nosy type and definitely not forward enough to pry it out of Tim. "Hope so. It's bliss, I tell you."

"Yeah. I can tell." He gave Kevin a smile, then stood and dropped a couple sickles on the table.

"Good luck with everything." He said to Kevin. "Don't let her treat you badly just because you're off the market." He meant the waitress.

"I'll remember that," Kevin said before taking a sip of his lemonade. Kevin noticed that Tim seemed to have a permanent someone in mind. He'd just have to keep his ears open. Kevin was more of an observer anyway.

"I'm on the fourth floor... if you ever need anything." Tim gave Kevin one more smile, then waved and headed out of the tea shoppe. His tail poked out from under the bottom of his green healers' robes.
