Who? Percy & Audrey When? Sunday midnight Where? The home What? Percy can't take being grumpy anymore Rating? TBD
Long day. Percy purposefully stayed in the office long after everybody left to fit in extra work. Even if he was a week ahead, he always found something else to do. There was always something to do.
The lights were down and the flat was quiet by the time he got home. Audrey was already in bed. He quietly undressed himself in the dark and left his work clothes in a wrinkled pile on the ground before climbing into bed. It was going to be another bad night.
Back turned to his wife, he was crumpled against his edge of the bed. The gap between he and Audrey was noticeably wide. Restless, he tossed around so that he faced Audrey's back. He couldn't bare to be angry any longer. Swallowing his pride, he inched toward his wife, flinging an arm around her as he got close enough and putting a shy chin on her shoulder before closing his eyes. He hoped this was enough of an apology so that he could finally get a good night's rest.
