Who? Lavender and Miriam
When? Monday morning
Where? Miriam's office
What? Lavender needs to see a mediwitch

Lavender arrived at Miriam's office at nine on Monday morning. She couldn't wait, she had to know. She'd felt sick off and on all weekend, but that could be a virus, the flu, fatigue, whatever. It didn't mean she was pregnant, honestly! But, it was better to find out now then to put it off any longer. She knocked on the office door then opened the door. "Madam Strout?" she called out as she peered into the office.

Wow. That was certainly one compressed time line. Miri blinked. It took her a moment to come up with the appropriate response. "But you are an employed adult, the father is here to participate, you've got an understanding, it seems, of the size of this responsibility. You're equipped to be a mother now. Maybe it wasn't what you planned, but babies are a blessing to those who can care for them."

Miriam would have liked a baby, but that would require dating, at the very least.

"Madam Strout..." she started then paused, knowing that she could trust a healer. "I'm going to ask you something, and... I really need this to be confidential, not only for myself but for my husband," she insisted.

"It's not exactly the world's best kept secret that I'm married to Kevin Entwhistle, but there it is," she said. "The thing is that... Kevin and I share a... condition," she stumbled, "and I'm terrified that he, I, or both of us might have passed it onto this baby. It's not that I don't want this baby... because it's... our baby," she smiled. "But we haven't done any research on the subject and... we're Half-Moons," Lavender blurted out.

	Well there was something new. "Well," she said, once again choosing her words carefully, "Remus Lupin's son, he's not a werewolf, so far as I know. And one of the Weasley children was bitten and his daughter is normal. You'd have to talk to someone in the Dai Llewellyn Ward, but I'm pretty sure it's not hereditary." 	She bit her lip, nodding a little. "Sorry to spring all of this on you... I just..." Lavender sighed softly, running her hand over her flat stomach. "I thought we would have more time for this moment and... here it is!" she laughed nervously. "I guess I need a regular mediwitch then?" she asked. "I'm totally clueless about this..." 	Miriam nodded. "The welcome witch can make you an appointment with a specialist so you can make sure the baby will be as healthy as possible. In the mean time you should avoid alcohol, being around smokers, and you can stop taking that potion. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
