Where? St. Mungo's cafeteria

Lavender left the shop in the hands of her assistants, waving as she walked down the hall to meet Hermione for lunch. She'd been working in the back, going through inventory and ordering slips. Hermione was in the building and they'd made arrangements to meet for lunch and Lavender made her way to the cafeteria to meet her. Once there, she smiled when she saw her friend. It was the first time she was seeing Hermione since she and Kevin had gotten married and she was excited to see her. "Hi!" she grinned, waving toward her.

	Lavender pressed her hand over her eyes. "That's too much... too complicated," she groaned. "Hermione, I can't be pregnant. I'm not ready to be a mum... we just got married," she whimpered. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Well, you should have thought of that a few weeks ago when you missed your potion." Hermione couldn't help it. It just slipped out. It was so very Hermione-like.

"I mean, I'm really sorry, but a baby is a blessing! You don't need to worry about money, there's plenty of love to go around... you've got great friends..." She was trying to be helpful now, feeling bad about what slipped.

	Lavender moved her hand and stared over at Hermione. "It was one day!" she protested. She felt nauseous again and she took a breath, calming her nerves.
