What: Owls and meeting?

Leanne was thinking about what'd happened the night before. She frowned a little as she hugged her knees and started out the window, sitting in her window seat. She'd sent off an owl earlier today to Katie and was waiting for a response. Hoping she'd get one, hoping she wasn't catching Katie on her date night.

Just the thought made her sick to her stomach.

The owl she'd sent was her own, a tawny named Bob. The owl read:

Katie,

I need to talk to you about something. Can we meet? Tonight? Will you come over?

Leanne felt like she could vomit right there on the sofa.

"I'm sorry. It's... I've been in love with you for... as long as I could remember. I just... I had to tell you. I couldn't keep it in anymore." Now she was just filling the silence, trying to get the words out before they rotted inside her chest.

"I don't know if you feel the same way or not," wishful thinking, "but I know this is gonna change everything. And I'm sorry for that, I just don't know how much longer I could have lived without saying it."
