Who? Lavender and Hermione
When? Foredated to Thursday @ noon
Where? Starting at St. Mungo's then shopping
What? Lavender and Hermione are having lunch then going shopping.

Lavender walked out the front doors of St. Mungo's and beyond the charms that concealed the hospital from Muggles. She was waiting for Hermione so they could have lunch and go shopping together. Now, ten years ago, no even five years ago, Lavender might have laughed if someone told her that she would be friends with Hermione Granger - but here they were. Lavender was looking forward to their extended lunch together, and she needed a new shopping partner. Besides, Lavender loved makeovers and Hermione could use a couple of tips, honestly.

She smiled when she saw Hermione walking her way. "Nothing like a little shopping to brighten up a lunch break," she beamed, pulling her sunglasses on.

	Lavender clapped, grinning like a mad woman. "Perfect, now you need to get something stunning," she insisted, grabbing dresses off the rack. "Well, spill then - I told you about my secret man, now you need to tell me about Ron," she insisted, glancing over at Hermione as she led the way toward the dressing room. Lavender grabbed a couple of pairs of shoes as she went, figuring she could charm them to fit Hemione if need be. "Well, then Harry is smart, right?" she concluded, shrugging a little as she hung the dresses up outside the changing room.

Lavender handed her the first dress then sat down on a chair outside the changing room. "Tell me more - we've been out of Hogwarts for a few years now. Do you not see him anymore?" she asked, trying to understand why she wasn't with Ron.

"I don't know." Hermione responded, watching Lavender collecting things. She paused in front of the changing room, then accepted the dress from Lavender, giving it a look as if she wasn't sure what it was. It was blue, knee-length, empire waist. After a moment, Hermione stepped into the dressing room to try it on.

"No," she called over the dressing room door. "He's... I suppose he's been busy? And I haven't really gone out of my wait to hunt him down, either."

Lavender peered at the dress before Hermione left, then glanced at the shoes, scrunching her nose a little. She'd need to grab more shoes if Hermione liked the dress.

"OK, so maybe I'm being nosy, but it's what I do best," Lavender left, "but... what have you been doing since we left Hogwarts?" she asked. "I mean... he was your best friend, right? How do you drift away from your best friend?"

"I had to go to Australia." Hermione said. She opened the door and stepped out in the dress to stand in front of the floor length mirror. It was a very nice dress.

"My Mum and Dad were in Australia. I sent them there with no memory of me to keep them safe." She said, turning to look a the back of the dress in the mirror. "Then I went back to Hogwarts, finished my education, and got a job at the Ministry. I've been in touch with Harry and Ginny more than Ron."

Lavender pursed her lips, thinking back to the extra year she'd spent at Hogwarts and they weren't all pleasant memories. The confusion and fear after being bitten and the symptoms that followed thereafter. Each full moon with a different guy, a trend that continued up until recent months. She hadn't learned much, but at least she had finished.

"How is Harry?" she asked off-topic. "I heard he got married... well, of course everyone heard that," she smirked.

	Hermione nodded. She moved back into the dressing room and shut the door. "He married Ginny Weasley." She said, changing into the next dress. "They're very happy. Got back from their Honeymoon not too long ago... and went straight back to work. It's rather odd to think of them like this... then again, it makes a lot of sense." 	"Doesn't sound like things changed much, though. Going right back to work and settling right back into their lives," she pointed out. Lavender didn't know how she felt about marriage, but since she'd met Kevin, she'd been thinking about it more then before. "OK, let me see this dress. 	Hermione stepped out. She was wearing a dark purple dress with a halter collar, sleeveless. It was very pretty. She stepped to the mirror. "I'd have to pull my hair up for this one." It exposed a lot of the back, and Hermione had a very nice back. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Lavender reached down and grabbed a pair of shoes, whispering a charm to change them from black to silver and make them sparkle. "Hmm, you just might have lucked out on the first try," she grinned, passing Hermione the heels. "Try these on. It's a gorgeous color - I have good taste," she beamed. Lavender walked with Hermione back to the front of the shop and told the shop assistant who she was and that she was here for her dress. She grinned at Hermione when her dress came out in its garment bag. "This one is mine," she grinned, pulling the zipper down to reveal her silver dress inside. The one-shoulder look worked for Lavender because it concealed her scar.

	"Ooh. It's lovely." Hermione responded, looking at the silver dress approvingly. "I think silver is a very good color for you, Lavender." She added. It fit Lavender's personality.
