Post-Ceremony Luncheon: Jeanne-Marie, her parents, and Julian
Julian's own parents were not in attendance. Thomas, the family butler, had phoned to let him know that they were off to London for a very important business meeting. It wasn't an uncommon occurrence though part of Julian doubted that both his parents needed to go. Still, it wasn't as if he was sulking around heartbroken.
It was finally graduation. He'd made it. They all had. There would be one last summer to hang out with everyone then it was off to college, the best time of their life. It was time to celebrate. Or it would be once everyone's parents had left the campus.
Julian wasn't surprised to see Jeanne-Marie instead of Aurora, but he hadn't been expecting her to make with the introductions. His eyebrows raised slightly and he gave a quick nod in Jeanne-Marie's direction. He'd been going to parties and functions for years and although he might have drawn attention to himself here and there, he still knew how to play the game.
"Mr. Martin. Mrs. Martin. Pleased to meet you." Julian's voice was polite but not ingratiating as he offered his hand to the older man.
