Valedictorian Speeches - Sue Storm {Open to Reactions} 2/2
Then Sue gave an admission which for her was a really big thing and only one person or maybe two might understand why. " I can leave here knowing that my brother is in good hands." She shot said brother a smile. "To each and every member of the graduating class I congratulate you, we made it, we survived. And now we're going to go out into the world in our own unique directions, all looking to make our mark on the world. I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope all your dreams come true." And then her attention to those who remained behind. "And to those still with years ahead of them or racing to get this spot where I stand now I have a few words of advice for you." Then she smirked a little. "Remember to look before you leap, think before you speak, but most of all be yourself because that's the most important lesson we can learn and it isn't until we're comfortable with ourselves that we can truly become the person we want to be."
Sue ducked her head then looked up as she came closer to the end of this speech. "A few years ago I was pretty sure my world was ending, but as I stand here I feel that everything is ahead of me and I really do have my time spent with you all to thank for that. Without you I wouldn't be standing here a changed person, a more confident person, and a person who is certain that she can take on anything the world has to throw at me." She was so very close to the end. "And remember, the future is called 'perhaps,' which is the only possible thing to call the future. And the important thing is not to allow that to scare you." A quote by Tennessee Williams for good measure and hopefully inspiring. God only knew. Sue very desperately needed a sip from that ginger ale flask because... yeah.
"In closing, so long, and thanks for all the fish."
And with that Sue stepped away from the podium and returned to her seat.
