It felt almost too good to be true to feel Layla back in his arms again, feeling her arms around the back of his neck. A part of him felt as though he should have been back in the island with just hopes of returning to the school to see her. And as much as Jamie didn't want to let her go, the pain in his sides urged him to place her back down on her feet. His face buried near her neck was just another sign that he wanted to keep himself as close to her, almost needing comfort from her.
However, Jamie knew that he had to let go. Sooner or later, he knew that he had to as he felt the blonde pull away from him slightly, hearing her voice. It wasn't until Shiro's voice sounded as though they were close to them that Prime remembered where he was. Oh, right. They were still in the infirmary.
He pulled his head back and looked over at Shiro, catching the smile on Layla's face. Just the expression was enough for Jamie to even feel the corner's of his own lips tug upwards. "I hope they made giant size balloons of us too. All marching in the parade," he chimed in with in with his own comment. Even the glance was seen as well, knowing fully that their conversation would be continued at a later time. Right now, it wasn't only about them.
It was surprising to see Layla of all people initiate the three person hug. Perhaps....just perhaps...Jamie was rubbing off on her a little bit. As Jamie kept one arm around the blonde, he slung the other arm around the other boy, completing the embrace between them.
