Who: Ororo & Scott
What: A possible furthering of a relationship
Where: Kitchen, X-Manasion
When: September 19th
It was too early for the students of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters to be awake, which left the kitchen blissfully empty. Ororo had been up well before the sunrise and had gone through her usual ritual of tending to the greenhouse before enjoying a cup of tea, but this time she was not alone. Scott joined her many mornings and those Ororo offered few words so early, she was happy whenever she got to share such a morning with him.
Today was no different. They had finished transplanting a wonderful set of Jade Vines from the Philippines (a gift, from whom Ororo did not say) and had just come into the kitchen after cleaning themselves up. Ororo was, as always, looking pristine. Whatever dirt had once touched her hands was long gone, once again the very vision of a goddess. She started the kettle and began to sift through the shelves of loose leaf tea to enjoy with her morning. Once her decision was made (jasmine) she started the coffee for Scott and joined him near the kitchen island.
Their relationship was now well known between the X-Men and the school and no one seemed surprised that the two leaders found solace with one another. Not after what had happened in the Savage Lands. Though they were rarely physical in public, the occasional teacher or student had sworn then had seen an exchange of hand touches or even a kiss or two, though both Ororo and Scott denied such public affections. It had only been a few months that the relationship had been official, but years of working together as a team made it feel much longer for all involved. And that was what Ororo enjoyed most. She was with a lover, a friend, and a confidant.
"Your coffee will be ready soon," Ororo said, breaking the long silence that had followed them from the greenhouse. It was comforting to have someone with which she could say little to and yet still feel a connection with. "I am going to go flying today. Would you care to join me?"
