All in all, everyone had done a great job in setting up for the dinner. Sam and his group had brought in enough tables for everyone to sit at, they'd rigged up some lighting trees to provide the place with some ambient light - which would double for coloured lights for the dancing later on - and the food had all more or less arrived on time and still hot. It was, as Warren had said, nothing fancy - take-out from the local area, boxes of Chinese and Japanese, plenty of pizza, a mass of hamburgers and fries, a whole lot of pasta. That sort of thing. There was masses of soft drink and candy available, as well as ice-cream for dessert.

Rather than actually sitting and eating, Warren circulated through the group, stopping to at least say hi to everyone, and chat for a few minutes with the people he didn't know. It had been so long since he'd actually spent time with a lot of them, and so many that he hadn't met. He tried to get to everyone, but really - he was only one man, and he only had so much time. He even stuck around to join the dancing afterwards, music kindly provided by the resident DJ, Mark.

-- he did, however, skip out in time to miss the clean-up. Who would have thought it?
