'seems all out of place [narrative]
Julie Power really hated her job at the bar, but since she hadstupidlydropped out of college and decided to pursue acting, this was about as good as it would get until she could land a decent acting job that regularly paid the bills. Not that she would ever admit that to certain family members. When she got Alex's message, she was in the middle of a rather slow shift and standing behind the bar reading various audition listings, cross the ones off that required her to "bare it all". She let the phone vibrate a few times from its hidden spot under the count before she grabbed it, flipping it open to read the message. As she ran out the door, Julie yelled something about her father to her confused coworker and said she would be back as soon as possible. Hopefully.
Thanks to ignoring a few traffic lights and stop signs, plus receiving a few flips of the middle fingers from fellow drivers, she arrived at the meeting place in what was probably a record time for the distance traveled. The minutes seemed to take forever before the rest of her siblings arrived and it didn't take long for them all to pile into one of there cars to decide what to do about the situation. Taking a few minutes, they listened to various newscasts in order to gain an understanding of what was going on inside the building, but it was safe to say details were few and nothing seemed definite beyond that people were indeed in the building.
Despite the lack of details, the Power siblings knew that they had to do something to help out the situation, but what? Going to the police seemed more than a bit ridiculous because who would actually let them in the building? And who would believe them if they said they had super powers that could help the situations? It was pretty clear that if they were going to help their father, they would have to do it on their own time and by their own rules.
In the end, it didn't take long for the Power siblings to agree that they were going in and taking care of business themselves.
