"Mm, peut-ĂȘtre." Charlie followed Hal in one of their cars, staying far back enough to avoid looking like he was following or with the semi, but not so far as to completely lose sight of his partner. it was one of the many reasons their business ran so smoothly: Hal happened to be an excellent driver, and Charlie happened to be excellent as spotting tails. He continued to listen rather than comment as his partner continued talking. Hal never really had to ask if there was any trouble as Charlie always told him when he saw something. Even though he never made it known, he too wasn't feeling completely settled about this job. The bigger the cargo, the higher the risk involved.
Charlie saw the Corvette in a frightening ugly color driving way too suspiciously for his tastes. By the time Hal noticed, he was already moving into a more defensive position. "Slow down an ged out of da way, ahm goin be hittin it." Hurrying to catch up with the car, he swung the front of his car to ram the side end of the Corvette, forcing it to fishtail. "Allez!" he commands Hal. Charlie would be the one to encourage the man not to follow.
