Who: Luke and Poppy C.
What: Luke checks up on his apartment and discovers that, oh hey, there's a girl living there
Where: Hamartia 504
When: Today, late afternoon
Warnings: None
Luke had almost forgotten about Bunny's claim that a cousin of his was staying in his apartment. He'd had other things to worry about and frankly hadn't been too concerned with it when she told him due to the alcohol, and only when a friend of his mentioned Black Ops being released on Tuesday did it finally slide back to the forefront of his memory (For some reason the video game made him think of his apartment). He didn't have class on Fridays, but he needed to drop off a paper and figured he could stop by Hamartia afterward. Just a quick look, really, to make sure the place hadn't been trashed - and getting up to date on his rent probably wouldn't be a bad idea either. It was a crappy apartment but it was still his, and he kind of missed it... actually, no; he missed the stuff in it. Perfect opportunity to fix that.
He caught the bus from the university and walked the remaining distance, hands burrowed deeply in his pockets. The inside of the apartment building was just as run-down as ever, but it was familiar and he made his way to the fifth floor with ease. For a moment he considered knocking and actually laughed at himself - it was his apartment. He didn't need to knock.
Instead he slid the key in the lock and turned the doorknob, even though it probably would have opened on its own, and pushed open the door slowly. "Hello?" Luke was instinctively cautious, half in and half out of the doorway as he let his gaze sweep over the room first. On the bright side, at least if someone attacked him he'd finally be able to put his practice to actual use. So either way, it was kind of a win/win situation.
