A short bark of laughter in his glass. "Random encounters like this? Like the ones we're bound to have tonight?" He switched the drink to his other hand and gestured with a jerk of his thumb toward the rest of the party. "Getting harassed by cartoon characters and having drinks spilled on us by little girls who only use this holiday as an excuse to wear as little clothing as possible? Yes, entirely precious."
His tone was light and teasing, although there might have been something hiding behind his mask that said perhaps he shouldn't have downed multiple drinks in such a short time frame. That maybe he had a habit of saying things he regretted while drinking on an average night, never mind one that had him so unconcerned with propriety and practicality.
