Callie gave a laugh at Maddie's description of herself, though it was done in good fun. "Very important. Too important for coffee from your favourite barista, apparently." A wink said she was joking, the whir of the steamer sounding as she frothed up some milk in practiced motions. It wasn't long before she had the drink on the counter in front of MK, taking the money and sliding it into the register before she leaned back towards her, heels of her hands braced against the counter. It was slow; she could afford to linger and talk for a bit.
"Can you get me a picture and sign it so I can say I knew you back when?" she said with a grin, head tilted to the side as the conversation drifted towards her. Shoulders shrugged up and she stepped back from the counter, wiping her hands off on her apron. "And you know, the same ol, same ol. You don't know someone lookin' for a roommate, do you?" She was wishing, hoping, prayin' upon a star that MK might know some lead that she could pass on. The entire 'sleeping on a street' thing was getting old, and it wouldn't be long before her job started noticing her lack of address.
