Aaron's lips were a little chapped and a little soft, and that was all Poe thought about at first. Just lips, and Aaron felt warm, even when it was only their thighs and lips touching, and maybe this was heaven a little. Ok, maybe more than a little.
And then he realized Aaron wasn't kissing back. Like, not at all.
It took Poe a second longer to pull back, because maybe a hole would open on the couch and swallow him up if he waited, or maybe Aaron would realize that hey, I want to kiss him back, but mostly he just didn't want to look at the other boy's face once he moved away.
Then he moved, and the confusion on Aaron's face was maybe worse than anything in the history of ever. "Um," he said, face going all splotchy red and freckles. "I, um, I haven't seen it... kind of." Which made no sense, because he hadn't seen it and there was no "kind of" about it. "Um, yeah... kind of."
