He hadn't /meant/ to lose Billy. Turtles were supposed to be slow, it was supposed to be easy to keep track of them. It was why Doctor Richards had finally let him have one after much pleading and coaxing; he'd originally wanted a puppy, but dogs hadn't allowed on the ward, and she hadn't thought him capable of having that much responsibility (that part she hadn't said, but it had been clear enough. He'd read her notes one day when she thought he wasn't looking, and he was smart enough to be able to fill in the blanks). She thought a turtle might be the next best thing - they were easy to care for, didn't chew up anything they weren't supposed to (mostly), and were able to tolerate a bit of a learning curve as far as care and feeding went. Plus, they were more interesting than fish. So he'd gotten Billy. And now he was missing. His first thought was that it was a turtle-napper, in search of ingredients for turtle soup, but there was no note, and the apartment hadn't /looked/ like it had been torn apart, so he figured maybe he'd just escaped. That he could fix. Thus the posters.
Harrison finished affixing the last piece of tape to the final corner of the flyer, then stood back to survey his handiwork, chewing on his thumbnail absently. He tilted his head slightly to the side, then back and, deciding that it was straight enough for his purposes, he nodded to himself. "Yeah, that'll work." After posting the brightly colored pieces of paper all around the building, he figured at least /somebody/ would know something.
