[ Private to A. Morgenstern ]

Mr. Morgenstern, your "game" is insulting my intelligence. While I will gladly accept slights against my character, I believe we can both agree that my intellect is beyond the realm of mocking.

[ Private to J. Warda ]

Detective Warda,

Mr. Morgenstern has created a "game" for me akin to a scavenger hunt. His motives are, as of yet, unknown. I will keep you informed.

[ Private to T. Brandon ]

Mr. Brandon,

This message is a preliminary contact as I continue to work on your case. I have made three trips to your property in the company of three different chaperones - William James, Betty Harlow, and Jeremiah Warner - and collected evidence of past trespassers.

I am still collecting data on the graffiti, though I have found a bit of evidence concerning the fire set to one of your warehouses. The fire was started at each corner simultaneously - the damage suggests that the four fires were lit at the same time and spread to meet one another - by a match and liquid accelerant. Given this data, it can be concluded that at least four individuals working in concert were responsible for this fire. I will investigate further, as this is simply an update.

On a slightly unrelated note, I believe I have found evidence of other trespassers on your property. Their involvement in the vandalism is, at this moment, unconfirmed, though trespassing on private property is a crime in of itself. As of now, I believe there to be three suspects. I have collected assorted data that I will present in list form.

- Footprints from a female shoe, size seven. The footprints have been photographed and outlined.
- A partial fingerprint that I have lifted and stored.
- A smear of white face paint that I have photographed and taken samples from.
- A sample of blood that I have photographed and taken samples from.
- Two custom-made shriken that I have photographed on location and collected.

The presence of weapons, blood, and face paint smeared on a wall suggest a struggle. I believe that the face paint came from the white-faced vigilante reported on in the past. The shuriken are custom and unusual in shape, suggesting the work of another vigilante. I am unsure of the woman's involvement in this struggle, whether she was a combatant or came at another time.

I will continue to investigate these matters. I simply wished to inform you of my current progress and offer you the opportunity to ask questions should you feel the need to.

Regards,

Daryl Hockney

My concern is that you may be focusing on events that ocurred after the vandalism, which is at present my only concern. One of my guards was assaulted by an unknown figure, but as he recovered and we could find no purpose for the trespassing, I am not as concerned about these after-the-fact trespassers as the initial arsonists.

I know. These people are investigating the arson and graffiti as well - they're meddling.

I am not convinced that a man of your position - which suggests a rudimentary intelligence - would gladly look away from an event simply because he cannot find evidence for why it occurred. However, if it is your wish for me to focus entirely on the vandalism and not continue on any side investigations, I will grant it and not charge you for the work I do concerning these three individuals.

I will continue to keep you abreast of any further information I gather concerning the arson and graffiti on your property.
