• Write a 500 word autobiography, or a biography of someone else. Someone you love, someone you hate. Anyone.


• What is your given name? Are you named after someone? Is the name you go by different? What does your name mean to you? What does it say about you?


• Sunlight


• Write a recipe for happiness.


• What do you hear when you really listen? Sit, stand, or lay completely still. Write about what you hear.


• Hands


• Write a letter to yourself as a child, or as an adult, ten years in the past or ten years in the future.

For the writer:

• I write because...


• Do you remember the first story you wrote? What was it?


• What are your writing goals for this day/week/month/year?


• Who do you write for?


• Do you have a writing mantra?


• What is your ultimate inspiration for writing?


• What one word would you use to describe your writing?

Prompts can be used in any way you choose. There are no rules, no limits. The only expectation is to write.
