Minor Injury Meme

A meme for those minor injuries that won't leave you down but make it hard to live your life. The breaks, sprains, and the hurt/comfort that comes with them.

INJURIES

1. SPRAIN: you stepped the wrong way, twisted the wrong way, and something has gone terribly wrong. Just remember RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

2. FRACTURE: You step off the sidewalk, working in the backyard, and suddenly BAM!! But it's not a sprain, oh no, you're in a cast for the duration. Good luck trying to get to work.

3. PULLED: It's not bad enough for medical attention but it still hurts something fierce. Break out the tiger balm or someone to give you a hand because you've pulled something. That awkward moment when you think you want vicodin...and nobody will give it to you.

4. MIGRAINE: Light hurts, air hurts, moving hurts. All you can do is lie in a darkened room and pray for the pounding pain to go away behind your eyes.

5. THE FLU: Maybe you're physically fine – well… all your limbs are working. You just feel like death warmed over.

6. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

SCENARIOS

1. INJURED! WHAT NEXT?: You're out working, you're out having fun, you're out doing something when suddenly you step, twist, move and our bodies demonstrate just how fragile they really are. Quick! someone call the ambulance!

2. THE EMERGENCY ROOM: All the fun of a waiting room with rewards that include crutches, casts, X-Rays, vicodin, and sometimes just that one nurse who says "Yeah there's nothing wrong with you that'll be 400 dollars."

3. HOME AND SETTING UP THE NEST: Hurt, trying to make a space for you to get around. Hopefully someone is there to help you get to your crutches so you can go to the bathroom and make yourself something to eat.

4. PHYSICAL THERAPY HOME EDITION: The obligatory smut option. Do you not see that I'm wearing this cast?

5. OH GOD HELP I'M GOING TO DIE: That awkward moment when the fact that you are bedridden is crushing down on you and you're terrified you'll do something to make the injury worse. Snappish, angry, and rude - who are you going to take it out on?

6. DRIVE ME TO THE DOCTOR THIS SHIT IS COMING OFF: It's time, they say you can come in, take it off, and begin the next stage of recovery. Failing that, you’re going to grab a saw and cut the damn thing off yourself! Will there be joy, laughter, crying, happiness?

7. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

"I'll make it up to you once we're home," Daniel promised, in regards to the whole arousal situation. Even if he didn't stop running his fingers through Scott's hair. He also knew it would probably take time for Scott to recover mentally and physically before he was ready for such activities to take place. Daniel would wait though, for as long as it took. Even if Scott was never ready.

He kissed his lips, his nose and then his forehead. "I didn't do anything special. I was just myself. But I'm glad. I'm glad Mr Miyagi isn't lonely and I'm glad you're here with me."

Shivering with pleasure, Scott said, "You could be a great hairdresser, baby." Scott looked at him, looking into those gorgeous doe eyes. Reminded him of Bambi. Although that movie had given Scott nightmares when he was a kid. It was the hunter who killed Bambi's mom. He shook his head.

"Daniel, babe, you helped me, you didn't know who I was, you knew my dad was trying to kill me, not a lot of people would have done that. You and Pop are the only real family I've had in a long time. My ma died when I was little."

He lifted Daniel's shirt so he could touch Daniel's bare skin. "I'm glad, too. You have no idea how glad I am."

"Yeah? I don't think I'd get many cuts done if I spent this much time running my fingers through every client's hair," he joked. "Besides, would you really trust me with a pair of scissors? You've only seen my successful bonsais. There are plenty more that didn't do so well after I trimmed them."

He continued to toy with Scott's hair, letting out a soft purr at the feel of Scott's fingers on his skin. "You're stuck with us now. We're adopting you for life."

Daniel grinned and leaned in to kiss Scott again. "Besides, one day we need an encore of the truck situation," he whispered.

Scott shivered at the thought of having sex with Daniel again. He nodded. "Yeah, we do." He agreed, his eyes fluttering shut again. This is when Mr. Miyagi came back. He was carrying food. "Papa bring food." He said, handing Scott a blt, some mac and cheese, and a can of Sprite.

He grinned at Mr. Miyagi. "Thanks, Pop." He said, and looked at Daniel. "Don't even think about getting any of my mac and cheese." He said, he knew how his boyfriend was about mac and cheese. Mr. Miyagi smiled back at Scott, and then handed Daniel his own mac and cheese and a Coke.

"So Scott-San not have share." He said.

Daniel had to stop mussing up Scott's hair in order to accept his own food. "Mr Miyagi, you are seriously the best! Mac and cheese! You know what I like! O could live on this stuff!" He probably would too, given half a chance.

He cracked open his can of Coke and took a sip, before settling back in one of the chairs so he could tuck into his mac and cheese. He let out a moan of appreciation. "Oh, that's good!"

Scott giggled at Daniel's enjoyment. "You're adorable." He said, opening his own soda and then taking a bite of his sandwich. "He's right though, Pop, you are the best." Scott added, brushing his hand through his hair when he was done chewing.

He definitely missed Daniel's hand in his hair. Scott was going to have to get that to happen again next chance he got. He forked up his own bite of mac and cheese. "It is good." He agreed, it tasted like Stouffer's.

	Daniel shovelled forkfuls of food into his mouth as though he was a man starved. It wasn't graceful. Honestly, it was a miracle he didn't choke on it. It sure did taste good though. Once he had chowed down on all his own mac and cheese, he tried to dig his fork into Scott's, despite Scott's earlier warning. "It's really good." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Hey, hey mister man." Scott said, nudging his fork away. "Mine." He told him, he'd finished his sandwich and was now only on his mac and cheese. He took a sip of his Sprite, Mr. Miyagi had included a straw, which was a good thing. He was getting tired again, they'd given him another dose of medication through his IV, and so he was starting to feel the effects.

"Plus, I just had life saving surgery, I'm entitled to my mac and cheese." Scott pointed out, arching an eyebrow. Mr. Miyagi just sat quietly, watching the exchange with a smile on his face.

"Well I had to sit and worry while you were having life saving surgery. I'm entitled to your mac and cheese," Daniel countered. Honestly, he didn't really need any more. He wasn't all that hungry, but it was fun to wind Scott up. To see a little of the old Scott spark come to life.

He drew his fork away, waited a couple of minutes, before leaning in again and swiping a forkful.

"Come on, LaRusso." Scott growled a bit. He jerked it away from Daniel, sticking his tongue out at him. Mr. Miyagi was laughing, practically in hysterics. "Some help you are, Pop." Scott mock scowled at him, just causing more laughter. Scott finished his mac and cheese, and gave Daniel a smirk.

"No more for you to steal, mister." Scott said, and reached with his good hand to tickle Daniel, he wondered if maybe Daniel had been trying to get a rise out of him.

	Daniel let out a yelp as he was tickled and tried to squirm away from the offending hand. He couldn't help it. He was ticklish. He huffed at Scott, before settling back in his seat properly. He stuck his tongue out at him in return, before dropping his head onto the bed beside Scott. "I can't believe my own boyfriend would betray me this way." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Says the boyfriend who tried to steal his boyfriend's mac and cheese!" Scott said, a bit righteously, but he lifted Daniel's chin and kissed him softly. "I love you." He said, already yawning. "I wasn't stealing it! I was sharing. There's a difference." He was stealing. He was a mac and cheese thief. He'd stolen once. He'd steal again. It was inevitable. Once a mac and cheese thief, always a mac and cheese thief.

"I love you too," he said, smiling soft. He glanced to make sure no nurses were coming. He didn't want to get told off for climbing into bed with Scott. Then he nodded.

"Yeah. Okay." Who could say no to that face? Daniel climbed up onto the bed, being careful not to knock any of Scott's injuries.

"Pfft. Sharing my foot." Scott mumbled, moving to cuddle up to Daniel without jostling anything. He buried his head in Daniel's chest. "You couldn't say no to my face." Scott bragged, but he was so sleepy it came out in a quiet voice, and he'd carefully set the arm in the cast around Daniel's waist.

Scott had chosen blue for the cast, and there already was a 'Love Is Love' sticker on it. He'd also written 'Scott Hearts Daniel' on it in a red Sharpie. His eyes slipped shut, and he was asleep.

Mr. Miyagi walked over to the bed, and patted Daniel's shoulder. "Miyagi get tea, be right back."

Daniel nodded at Mr Miyagi. "Hey... if you wanna go back to the house and get some rest, then I'm okay staying. There's no point both of us losing sleep. I'll call if anything happens." He didn't want Mr Miyagi to make himself sick with worry or over-exertion.

He reached for the Sharpie and added a few little messages of his own. A 'Daniel Hearts Scott' one and well as the classic 'LaRusso Woz 'Ere' plus some doodles of a bonsai, a love heart and a blob with a face.

"Miyagi fine." He said, waving a hand at Daniel. "Miyagi Papa. Papa stay." He didn't want to go all the way home, he wanted to be here in case something happened. "Want to be here." He sipped his tea, and Scott cuddled closer to Daniel, a leg hooking over his in his sleep.

Mr. Miyagi watched Daniel doodle, a soft smile on his face. Before Daniel, he'd been so lonely. And he was glad that he had Scott, now, too. "Miyagi glad that Scott-San okay now. No more bad papa."
