Donna wasn't terribly fond of the weather today. The snow, at least, made it a little more bearable, it being clean and white and overall quite beautiful, but in general she would much rather it be warm. Well, at least it wasn't windy, too. She could afford to look around as she walked.
She'd grown to like a park not far from the apartment complex she and the rest had woken up in (though she tried not to feel so bitter about that -- after all, the trade-off was that she got her memories back, and those were very good to have). She imagined it would look even lovelier in the spring, when everything was green and the flowers were blooming again, but for now, the dormant trees and frozen, snow-covered ground had a delicate beauty all their own.
She reached her favorite spot -- a bench just at the top of a little hill -- and found that someone had beaten her here, a young woman with dark hair and a distinctly sad look in her eyes. Donna wouldn't comment on it, but she would say hello. After all, they might be sharing this spot again in the future, and making nice with people never went amiss. (Unless they were rude, but she would cross that bridge when she got to it.)
She brushed snow off a section of the bench, sat, and turned to look at the other woman. "Pretty here, isn't it?"
