The camera shows an elegant ballroom, packed with some familiar faces including the Mikaelson vampires. Allison is also there, dressed to the nines. She smiles across the room to Kol Mikaelson who is dressed in a black suit with a pocket square that matches Allison’s dress. They both walk toward each other, meeting in the middle of the dancefloor, and begin to slow dance.
---------
In the next scene, Kol and Allison are passionately making out. Before things get too steamy, the camera cuts to...
---------
For reasons that are not apparent, Allison is inside the Mikaelsons’ manor and there’s some blood on the neckline of her dress. She’s in the middle of a conversation with Kol and she looks distressed and sad. Things are not as they once were for this couple and it’s clear. They’re in the middle of a conversation that might not make sense as the camera came in on the middle of all of it.
“And if they had taken you back with open arms, you’d be long gone by now.” Kol accuses her and walks over to his bar. “Your dreams about being something you once were with friends you once had trumped any kind of loyalty or feelings you had towards me. You decided that when you walked out that door, so why are you back? What do you care whether or not I forgive you?” He takes a long drink straight from his bottle.
Allison grits her teeth together in a desperate attempt to stop herself from crying. “Because I still care about you Kol. It’s something I can’t escape. I can’t change it. It would be a lot easier if I could, somehow, but I can’t.”
Kol is furious. He’s inches away from her, looking down on her through dark eyes. “I wish I could trust you, Allison.” He says in a quiet voice.
Allison’s heart is breaking at that moment. She believes that this pain and suffering and loss is her karmic reward for causing other people to feel pain. “You can.” She insists in a small voice.
He raises his hand and touches her cheek. “Then prove it.”
She feels her lower lip quiver just slightly as she’s on the verge of tears. She hates feeling weak and seeming weak. She wants to kick herself for the signals she’s giving off right now. “Just tell me how and I will.” Allison looks down when she feels the wetness of a tear rolling down her cheek. She dashes it away with her hand. “Are you...” She trails off, rethinking what she was going to ask, but asks it anyway. “Are you going to kill me now?” At her question, he drops his hand from her face.
“What have I ever done to make you so frightened of me?” He asks.
“I know you must want to.” She pauses a moment. “Maybe...” She sighs sadly. “Maybe you should.” Allison reaches out and takes his hand in both of hers, her gaze fixed on it as if looking away from Kol’s face will keep him from seeing the tears. She traces her fingertips over his knuckles gently. Kol watches her with a slightly puzzled expression on his face as she suggests that he should kill her. He draws his brow together and strokes a free hand through her her. He doesn’t know how to respond, so he doesn’t. Instead he moves a finger under her chin and lifts it before lowering his mouth to hers.
Allison’s eyes open for a second as this wasn’t the reaction she was expecting, but she kisses him back like it’s her last kiss. It calms her down a great deal.
“I’m not going to kill you.” He says softly. He takes a few steps back towards the bar and lifts his arms in a show of defeat. “You’re free, Allison.”
Allison nods and turns towards the door, but stops a couple feet away. “I never told you. I was afraid it would ruin things. I do love you, Kol.”
He pauses for a moment as he considers that and then pours himself another glass. “Ironic, isn’t it? That it’s the opposite that did.”
Allison nods again, feeling like she’s about to cry. “Be safe, okay? There are a lot of people who are angry with you.” She takes in a deep breath, turns, and makes her exit. Once she’s outside she starts to cry openly.
--------------
Allison has a large duffel bag full of her things and it’s apparent that she’s moving back into Mikaelson manor to be with Kol.
--------------
She’s talking to Kol over a computer via video chat. The camera catches them at the end of a discussion. Allison pauses for a few moments of silent before she blurts it out.
“I love you.”
“And I love you, Darling.” He responds without hesitation, as though he’s said it a million times instead of for the first time.
--------------
Allison is sitting on the bed she used to share with Kol petting a white rabbit and talking to it. It may not be apparent to those watching, but the rabbit is Kol in another form. “I still love you even when you’re like this. You must be in there somewhere. I plan on waiting for you. Even if you’re a rabbit for a hundred years or more, I’m going to be right here. When you come back I’m going to give you the biggest kiss and everything will be alright.” She lets out a quiet sigh and starts to cry.
