[Cass is more messed up than Mox has ever seen her. Or maybe he's just such a shit friends, it's just the first time he's noticing.. He's patient with her while she drags herself through the motions and he leads her back into her bedroom, guiding her back into bed and covering her up. She hasn't put on any clothes and he's too drained to do it for her, so the bathrobe stays I through the walk and he helps her back out of it before tucking her in.
Mox is on his way to the other side of the bed to Jay climb in in all his clothes, after snagging his t-shirt and pulling it back on, but then she calls him Davey. ...and tells him she loves him. And that's all he can take.
Even though he has no feelings for Cass, those words are still sharper than a knife. Dave, who's better than he is. Dave, who isn't going to sabotage his own social life at every turn. Dave knows what it's like for a woman to say she loves him and really mean it. Mox is pretty sure this is the first and last time he'll hear those words in that context...and they're not even meant for him.]
Go to sleep, Cass.
[He crosses the room after snatching one of her pillows and drops heavily into the chair at her vanity. He's not sleeping in the bed with her, now, but he promised to stay, so this'll have to do.]
